We're holding a very special afternoon and evening of live music in the garden to remember Dave Robinson, a good friend to many of us here, who passed away in the summer having suffered from Blood Cancer.
In discussions with Dave's wife, Isobel, we're very happy to host some excellent bands and musicians on the Rose Stage and in one of the marquees, all of whom knew Dave and who want to help raise funds for Blood Cancer UK.
You will get to see some fantastic musicians and hear loads of great songs.
We're therefore setting a donation price of £10 for this event, 100% of which goes to the charity. You can pay by cash donation direct to us at the pub in advance or pay online (although with card payments we will lose a small portion in merchant fees).
On top of this £10 donation, we ask that everyone brings cash on the day for our collection buckets.
Collecting donations for this special charity is the main purpose for holding this day, so please be as generous as you can.
The itinerary for the day is:
3-3:45pm: Moonshine
Southern Rock 6-piece band playing Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers and more
3:45-4:15pm: Rotherfield Walking Football Club musicians (Dave was part of this great walking football club)
4:15-5pm: The Incredible Spring Band, reforming for this one-off gig! A very special treat by 6 local legendary musicians getting back together to play a great selection of rock covers
5pm: A quick chat and food tent opens
5:10-5:40pm: Raduohead
(Father and son duo performing Radiohead songs)
5:45-6:30pm: The Ding Dong Daddios - the amazing swing and jive quartet, performing across the UK for 25 years
6:30-7pm: Reading Bach Choir (around 8 members performing)
7-7:45pm: Moonage - the finest Bowie tribute band
