Slightly Plugged, which takes place on the last Friday of the month, invites musicians to play here in the pub mic'd up. We usually accept up to four-piece acts (due to space limitations) , performing for up to 20 minutes each.
It's a very informal affair taking place in our relaxed bar.
PA, mics and leads are supplied: just bring your instruments.

Each year we celebrate a decade and this February we're going all out on the 1980s: a decade of musical revolution, political upheaval, convenience foods, big hair, goths, punks, new romantics, rockers and yuppies.
So let's get nostalgic and get into the spirit of the 80s!
We'll put on a spread of 80s inspired food and set up our Wobbly Disco playing an eclectic mix of music from the decade. Plus it's your chance to dress up, mess with your hair, dance and perform on stage to your favourite songs, thanks to Wobbly Disco's karaoke.
It's going to be heaps of fun!
Our Unplugged Nights take place in the bar on the first Tuesday of the month. Anyone is welcome to come and perform, whether with an acoustic instrument of a capello.
The one rule is no plugging in!
It's a lovely, intimate atmosphere in the bar and acts usually perform between 3 and 4 songs, depending on how many acts turn up on the night. You don't have to register in advance for this event.

We also hold Slightly Plugged Nights: the same format but plugged in (you must apply to play at a Slightly Plugged Night). We use a small PA system and provide mics, cables and DI boxes. Slightly Plugged happens on the last Friday of the month, September to May.
The Sing-along-a-Nick trio is back for its annual Valentine’s gig, serenading you with a whole raft of cheesy love songs.
It’s the perfect opportunity to treat the love of your life to a special night out, gaze adoringly at each other over a curry or Yorkshire pudding, whisper sweet nothings and then open up your lungs to bellow out a string of gooey singalong songs.
How very romantic.
As ever, it’s all done tongue-in-cheek and with a large helping of humour so we can all have a good laugh. Those without partners are equally welcome to join in.
The songs are led by Nick on piano, assisted by Mister Minch on double bass and Bradley on drums.
The gig will take place in the pub.
A special 2-course Valentine’s Menu of mains and desserts priced at £22.50 will be available to pre-order and the gig will start at 8:30pm.
We’re bringing back our Games Night on Saturday 22 February, for one night only. It’s a chance for us to get together and enjoy a wide range of classic games in our cosy pub.
Some of the many games available will be pool and snooker, darts, Connect 4, Guess Who, bagatelle, shove ha’penny, shuffleboard (pictured) and many more. If you'd like to bring your favourite games, let us know using the form below. Please note the games shouldn't be too long-winded. Short and competitive is best.
Entry is free and we’ll have a range of basket meals with chips (so you can carry your food from table to table), all priced at £15.

We're delighted to have local rock band The Dead Can Wait return to The Flowing Spring, this time performing on stage in the Acoustic Lounge, our intimate venue where you can get up close to the action.
This band of highly experienced musicians will be performing their powerful rock songs from their debut album In Lumine over two sets plus new material.

This is our first Classic Cars and Bikes Meet of the year. The Meet has been happening here at The Flowing Spring since April 2016!They take place on the second Sunday of the month up to October.
When it's good weather, April and May's turnout is huge, so get here early and enjoy the spectacle.
The format is simple: just turn up in your prized 2, 3 or 4-wheeler and show it off in our grounds to the many admiring petrolheads. We have plenty of space with the car park and bottom lawn.
We have tea, coffee and other refreshments available from the bar plus bacon rolls.
You don't have to bring a classic car or bike. You're welcome to come along just to take a look round with a cuppa and have a good old natter.
Doors open at 9:30am.
Entry is completely free and you don't have to register unless you are a club intending to bring a whole host of cars.
If you are a club, we are happy to arrange a separate lunch or evening meet for you and your members where you can have a drink and a meal if you wish. Give us a call and we'll make it work for you.
You're no doubt aware of Moonage, the Best of Bowie Tribute Band who have appeared here many times over the past few years and whose touring as a 7-piece live band continues to intensify.
Well, we are excited to announce that we are hosting an exclusive evening of Moonage Unplugged, a completely unique experience of hearing a whole host of Bowie's material performed with acoustic instruments.
From Moonage, we're delighted to have Andrew (Bowie frontman) singing and playing acoustic guitar, Paul, the band's guitarist also on acoustic and Ollie, their keyboard player who will be on piano. They will be playing both well-known songs and lesser known album tracks. This is a one-off, not to be missed.
Also on the bill is Jagged Little Alanis making their debut appearance here at The Flowing Spring. They are the UK's most popular Alanis Morissette tribute act. You'll hear - and no doubt sing along - to all those classic Alanis songs such as Ironic, You Oughta Know, Hand in my Pocket, Head over Feet, All I Really Want, to name just a few.
Jewels & the Jacuzzis are a wonderful 5-piece band playing a mix of reggae, soul, jazz, blues, ska, to soothe your soul, lift your spirits and get you movin and groovin..
Playing a mix of originals and classics with a twist.
The band have supported the likes of The Wailers, Daddy G Massive Attack) The Skints, and The Slits.
Singer-front lady Jewels Vass has recorded and performed with Mad Professor. Zion Train and Pama International with radio plays from Craig Charles and Don Letts.

The Sing-along-a-Nick trio plays here at The Flowing Spring 3 to 4 times a year. The Summer Show is the big one, performing on the Rose Stage. It's our mass singalong with everyone in good spirits singing away in the garden and having a giggle.
There will be plenty of cheesy hits to sing, the usual dry humour, costumes and silliness plus guests!

Each year we hold a Hats Off party to celebrate something special. This year is particularly special to us as Nick and Hazel mark 15 years of running this wonderful, magical pub. So we take our hats off to everyone who has supported us throughout the years!

TALK IN CODE - Local 4-piece 80s influenced energetic indie-pop band
BEATROOT - 9-piece funk with rhythm section, large horn section, guitar and keyboards
VINTAGE SOUND COLLECTIVE - 7-piece classy, high energy soul, funk and disco covers to dance the night away
The Traveling Wilburys never played live as sadly the great “Big O” (Roy Orbison) passed away shortly after the release of their debut album “Volume 1” in late 1988.
Luckily, the Trembling Wilburys can bring you their version of the “show that never was” with an incredibly uplifting 90-minutes plus of fantastic music.
In addition, the band features two of the most acclaimed sound-alikes of any tribute act with John Brosnan (of the “Let It Be” stage show) performing as George Harrison, while Dave Collison perfectly captures Roy Orbison’s unique vocal range and look.
We've seen these chaps perform in London. They're great fun and the music is just wonderful.
It's a very rare chance to see them perform live outside the capital!
